چکیده

Vegetation dynamics in arid and semi-arid regions have an important impact on carbon cycle, water energy exchange at local, regional, global scales. Therefore, it is of great significance for scientists to grasp the changes vegetation cover timely accurately. Based this, applicability ESTARFM model complex terrain area Xinjiang was explored using Landsat MODIS data fusion, overall change characteristics (FVC) distribution patterns different terrains study past 15 years were analyzed by combining dimidiate pixel model, unary linear regression digital elevation model. The results show that: (1) NDVI fused Model has high consistency with real data, can be used subsequent FVC estimation. (2) From 2006 2020, inter a level as whole, average annual showed weak increasing trend fluctuation; there are obvious differences spatial distribution, which characterized north low south. (3) improved greater than degraded area, accounting 52.3% 47.7% respectively; (4) In range 2000 3500 m, slight degradation 25° 45° slopes south southeast slopes, rest improvement trend. ESTARFM-based enables monitoring areas over long time series. high, both serious phenomena.

Spatial and temporal patterns of Holocene vegetation and climate changes in arid and semi-arid China

Pollen data from 30 sites in arid and semi-arid regions of China were reviewed to document regional patterns of Holocene vegetation and climate change and to understand the large-scale controls on these changes. Vegetation at most sites in eastern Inner Mongolia switched between forest, forest steppe, and typical steppe, showing maximum moisture conditions before 6 ka (1 ka 1⁄4 1000 cal yr BP) ...

Fractional vegetation cover estimation in arid and semi-arid environments using HJ-1 satellite hyperspectral data

This paper evaluates the usefulness of the hyperspectral imager (HSI) onboard Chinese HJ-1-A small satellite in vegetation mapping. Fractional vegetation cover (FVC) is an important surface microclimate parameter for characterizing land surface vegetation cover as well as the most effective indicator for assessing desertification and crop growth condition. The HJ-1/HSI data were used to calcula...

Assessing forestland area based on canopy cover in a semi-arid region: a case study

Quantifying and reporting the extent of forest resources is one of the primary objectives of forest resource assessments across geopolitical scales (e.g. local, regional, national and international). While there has been a substantial increase in the amount of environmental data, estimates for national and international assessments are often compiled from surveys conducted at fi ner geopolitica...

Ecological Assessment of Spatio-temporal Changes of Vegetation in Response to Piosphere Effects in Semi-arid Rangelands of Uzbekistan

Since livestock production in Uzbekistan in arid and semi-arid zones is based on rangeland vegetation, contemporary studies have focused on improvement of low productive grazing lands and rehabilitation of degraded rangelands. Less interest has been given to the driving factors of land degradation and their interaction with other ecosystem components, e.g. response of vegetation to grazing indu...

Assessment of the important Factors on Gully Erosion in Arid and Semi-arid Region in Ilam Province

Infiltration is the process of water penetration from the ground surface into the soil and is an important process in the hydrological cycle by which surface runoff and groundwater recharge can be linked. Over the years, the importance of the infiltration process resulted in the development of several simplified analytical models for predicting infiltration. These infiltration models range from...
